The last time anyone has seen or spoken to Carlos Figueroa was after the 2005 Major League Wiffleball of Milford championship game. Figueroa left Meadowside without talking to reporters, however, he did say that he blamed the A Teams loss on poor coaching by Joe Janik. Today, in an exclusive interview with the official website of the MLWM, Figueroa went on record to say that if Sumner Johnston (2x MLWM Playoff MVP) was coaching the team they would have won the championship. Figueroa also expressed how upset he was that the MLWM did not celebrate his 100th career at bat, ensuring him a spot on a MLWM playoff team. In the next few days the full transcript will be available right here for your reading pleasure.
This past Monday, Justin Veilleux was arrested at his home in Mexico City, Mexico and charged with attempted murder of a donkey. As you remember, this past July the MLWM was trying to send Veilleux to the Mexican leagues for a donkey, a dozen wiffleballs, and instructions on how to build a house made from adobe. The deal never went through and Veilleux went on to win the Brent Remetta award. According to Mexican Secret Agents, Veilleux and a group of men attacked five donkeys with wiffleball bats and poured Corona on the donkeys in attempt to kill them (apparently, donkeys are highly allergic to beer). Four donkeys were injuired while one died. Veilleux insists he did not take part in the donkey slaughter.
The MLWM has a concern with On Lam as well. There has been reports that Lam has been involved in illegal poker games taking place around Milford. The MLWM told Lam he has to stop engaging in these activities ‘or else’. Lams camp has not commented much on this matter but ensures the MLWM and Lams fans he would never do anything illegal.
There is also an ongoing investigation of an incident that took place in the bathroom of Video Hut. It is not know at the time what was going on, but Jim Cooper and Ryan Keeler did end up getting into a fight with two other men.
Take it to the MLWM to make fun of real life problems!
