BJB Memorial Tournament @ Foran: Part One

We came into this tournament with high hopes. It started with the 56 team field playing in their respective 4 team division. And after the division play is done, teams were then seeded and put into a single elimination knockout style tournament to determine the champion. We got slotted into field #10 and faced the Soggy Bottom Boys, Boston Dirt Dogs, and G-Unit.

I woke at round 9 and got to the field in bout 15 minutes. Instantly I found my team in our bright orange Season 2 shirts. You can spot those shirts 300 yards away. The games didn't really start til 10, so I ran around scouting and taking random pictures.
This is our team. From left to right: Sweet Pea Johnston, Señor Cadigan, Bill our Ringer, General T Hoggatt, Just Tom Cadigan. I was there as the hitting coach. Boom Boom Cooper served as the pitching coach. AVG Joe Janik stopped by with some fielding tips and a pep talk. I tried to do on-the-field, live audioblog updates, but I hung up instead of ending the call with the # key. Too bad, we had some good stuff.


Our first opponents were The Soggy Bottom Boys, seen here taking a cigarette break. We beat them 9 to 1.
